In my last blog post, I shared my complete disdain for the latest Ebay commercial that pokes fun at those who make handmade items as gifts.
Well, I have been searching the internet for those who haven't seen it and finally someone posted it on YouTube.

I can understand your disapproval of the Ebay commercial being someone,like myself, who makes handmade gifts. But, this thinking has been a cliche' for soooo long regarding handmade gifts--you know, like the pink bunny suit in the "Christmas Story" movie that "aunt somebody" made as well as the old homemade fruitcake that could be used as a doorstop!
There will always be those who do not want handmade anything and those wonderful people who do and know of the love and time that goes into these treasures. No commercial will ever change the opinions of either. I wouldn't even take the time to be offended. And, you can laugh all the way to the bank selling your QUALITY handmade items and giving them to deserving recipients!
The commercial just goes to show you how very superficial this world has become. It was funny yet sad...
